Kamikatsu Awaya Tea (Awaya Tea, Kanda Tea)
Traditional local products that have been inherited in the local area.
The evening tea made in a tea plantation that uses the slope of the mountain is attractive with a simple and nostalgic taste.
The evening tea cultivated in Kanda Village is commercialized as "Kanda tea" and was designated as "Tokushima Prefectural Traditional Product Product" in 2004.
It is popular as a rare phantom tea not only in the prefecture but also in the country.
The Mysterious Fruit Yuko
"Yuko" is a citrus fruit that has been grown only in some mountainous areas such as Kamikatsu Town and Kamiyama Town, and is said to be a legendary fruit due to its high rarity. It has been used as a vinegar for its own use since ancient times. It was also useful. In addition, yuzu and sudachi are also actively produced, and both have unique tastes and aromas, making them essential for a variety of Japanese and Western dishes and drinks.
Mountain stream Queen Amego (Amago)
Amego (amago) is edible to falling insects and aquatic insects, so growing conditions are essential for a rich, green forest with water retention and a highly transparent, pure mountain stream. The exterior difference between it and Yamame is the beautiful vermilion spots on the sides except for the head and back. The slightly pink flesh is characterized by its elegant flavour that spreads softly the moment you eat it. The bones are small and fine, so you won't be bothered if you eat them as they are.
